HOW FIT DO I NEED TO BE FOR THE HOLIDAY?

Our cycling holidays are designed for people of all ages and levels of fitness. On our information page we have information on the levels of the holidays. This will give you an idea to what level of holiday you should be looking at.

DO YOU HAVE CYCLING HOLIDAYS SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN?Of course! On our tour selector page you will find all our tours with lower level grading which could be suitable for children. If you need any advice give us a call or send us an email and we can help you out further.

DO YOU HAVE TOURS THAT ARE SUITABLE FOR NON-CYCLISTS TOO?

We have a couple of tours that would be suitable for non-cyclists while the cyclists go out for the day. These would be our “bike and boat” tours, cycle resort, or the fixed location holidays. If you would like to know more please contact us and we would be happy to help.

DO YOU ALLOW BOOKINGS FROM SOLO TRAVELLERS?

Yes, we do, the tours that are suitable will have a single supplement price in our price tables on each tour page.

CAN I RENT A BIKE?

Yes, you can rent bikes on all our tours, however , if you wish to bring your own bike then you can do. Your bike must be in good working order. On some of our tours where transfers with bikes are needed, there may be a local fee for you to pay to transfer your own bike.

WHAT TYPE OF BIKES ARE AVAILABLE TO RENT?

On most of our tours, we have hybrid style bikes to rent. The types of bikes available on each tour do differ and are stated on each of the individual tour pages. On some tours, we have e-bikes, race bikes, and tandems also available. Please contact us if you are looking for a certain type of bike.

DO I NEED TRAVEL INSURANCE?

All guests should have adequate holiday insurance to cover you for cycling, medical expenses and for cancellation or curtailment of your holiday. Check out our Travel Insurance page for more information.

CAN A TOUR BE ALTERED?

Generally ,the answer is yes if the tour is available to start of any day of the week (this information can be found on the individual tour page) However please contact us with your individual needs so we can assist you further we your booking.

CAN WE BOOK EXTRA NIGHTS WITH YOU?

Yes of course. Each tour page will have a price table which will inform you which towns you can book extra nights in. If you need any advice please contact us and we will help you out with your booking. The only constraint may be the availability of the accommodation.

CAN YOU ARRANGE FLIGHTS?

Flights are not included in our holidays.

DO I NEED A VISA?

Citizens of the Indian do not need a visa within the Jammu and Kashmir. Members of other countries should check with their own embassies the visa requirements before travelling.

WILL I RECEIVE TOUR MATERIAL?

Yes, we normally send our tour material by email around 3-4 weeks before your trip departure date, should you be leaving earlier please inform us without any delay. If your tour package includes published maps/guide books we shall post these to you 3-4 weeks before your departure, should you leave for your holiday early please advise us so we can post these items earlier, failure to notify us will result in these items not being available for your tour.

DO I NEED TO BRING MONEY FOR FOOD?

Generally, No. All the holidays include daily breakfast and there are feedings points on the way. you are free to choose where and when to eat. Details are given with each individual tour.

 WHAT TYPE OF ACCOMMODATION CAN I EXPECT?

Our accommodations are normally either small hotels to good quality Camps. Some are unique and some are traditional with that local area.  On the Cruise and Cycle holidays the accommodation is mainly in cabins with bunk beds or low beds.

WHERE CAN I LEAVE MY CAR FOR THE DURATION OF THE HOLIDAY?

In most cases, you can leave your car for the duration of your holiday in the car park of the hotel used for the first night’s accommodation. Where parking is not available at the first hotel, you will be advised of the alternative arrangements made for you. Some car parking may have a local fee which you will have to pay upon arrival.

IS MY LUGGAGE TRANSFERRED WHILE ON HOLIDAY/HOW MUCH LUGGAGE CAN I BRING?

Your luggage is transported for you every day (unless on a non-moving tour). Luggage is limited to one bag per person and with a weight limit of 22kg.

WHAT CLOTHES SHOULD I BRING? IS A CYCLING HELMET PROVIDED?

If you have cycling clothes, you will probably want to bring them with you. However, if you don’t own any cycling gear then shorts and t-shirts will be fine. We provide a list of gear to bring with you in our tour packs that are sent to you before the tour.  We do NOT rent helmets for health and safety reasons. Please bring your own helmets.  In some countries, it is a legal requirement to wear a helmet so please make sure you take one with you.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I HAVE A PROBLEM ON HOLIDAY?

If there is ever a problem while you are on holiday there is a local ground handler which will be able to help you/offer advice. They can be contacted on the number provided in your guide book.
