MTB Kashmir accepts payment via bank transfer or credit card. And yes, your credit card information is safe. You’ll be asked to enter your payment card details on the website but these never go through our servers and are never stored in full by us.

The tour operators we work with have been in the business for many years and operate locally at the cycling destination. Because of this they know the landscape very well and often have back up plans or alternate routes should any disturbances occur such as bad weather.

We have a couple of tours that would be suitable for non-cyclists while the cyclists go out for the day. These would be our “bike and boat” tours, cycle resort, or the fixed location tours. If you would like to know more please contact us and we would be happy to help.

Yes we do, the tours that are suitable will have a single supplement price in our price tables on each tour page.

Yes you can rent bikes on all our tours, however if you wish to bring your own bike then you can do. Your bike must be in good working order. On some of our tours where transfers with bikes are needed there may be a local fee for you to pay to transfer your own bike.

On most of our tours we have hybrid style bikes to rent. The types of bikes available on each tour do differ and is stated on each of the individual tour pages. On some tours we have e-bikes, Road bikes, and Mountain Bikes also available. Please contact us if you are looking for a certain type of bike.

All guests should have adequate Tour insurance to cover you for cycling, medical expenses and for cancellation or curtailment of your Tour.

Generally the answer is yes if the tour is available to start of any day of the week (this information can be found on the individual tour page) however please contact us with your individual needs so we can assist you further we your booking.

Yes of course. Each tour page will have a price table which will inform you which towns you can book extra nights in. If you need any advice please contact us and we will help you out with your booking. The only constraint may be the availability of the accommodation.

Flights are not included in our tours. (Please note this is not in any way related to us and if booking through the external site is at your own risk). If you need any help we can point you in the right direction. We always recommend that you wait until your booking is confirmed before you book any flights.

Citizens of the india do not need a visa. Members of other countries should check with their own embassies the visa requirements before travelling.

Yes, we normally send our tour material by email around 3-4 weeks before your trip departure date, should you be leaving earlier please inform us without any delay. If your tour package includes published maps/guide books we shall post these to you 3-4 weeks before your departure, should you leave for your Tour early please advise us so we can post these items earlier, failure to notify us will result in these items not being available for your tour.

Generally, yes. All the tours include a daily breakfast. Some also include lunch and an evening meal. Where they are not included, you are free to choose where and when to eat. Details are given with each individual tour.

Our accommodations are normally either small hotels to good quality b&bs. Some are unique and some are traditional with that local area.  On the cruise and cycle tours the accommodation is mainly in camps.

In most cases you can leave your car for the duration of your Tour in the car park of the hotel used for the first night’s accommodation. Where parking is not available at the first hotel, you will be advised of the alternative arrangements made for you. Some car parking may have a local fee which you will have to pay upon arrival.

Your luggage is transported for you every day (unless on a non-moving tour). Luggage is limited to one bag per person and with a weight limit of 22kg.

If you have cycling clothes, you will probably want to bring them with you. However if you don’t own any cycling gear then shorts and t-shirts will be fine. We provide a list of gear to bring with you in our tour packs that are sent to you before the tour.  We do not rent helmets for health and safety reasons. Please bring your own helmets.  In some countries it is a legal requirement to wear a helmet so please make sure you take one with you.

If there is ever a problem while you are on Tour there is a local ground handler which will be able to help you/offer advice. They can be contacted on the number provided in your guide book.

We use professional local cycling guides and instructors according to the requirements of a specific itinerary. Our guides and instructors are licensed members of the Kashmir Tourism Department. Not only is this a legal requirement in Kashmir, but it’s also your guarantee of a safe, knowledgeable, and experienced leader on your trip.

Our leaders are hand-picked and have extensive experience in the areas they visit and operate in. Most of our leaders are our long-time friends and climbing, trekking, or skiing partners who, in addition to being incredibly skillful, are great companions in the mountains. All our leaders are English speakers.
